Mediar entre humanos para conservar a los lobos

The new Strategy for the Conservation and Management of the Wolf in Spain proposes to generalise its status as a protected species. However, the wolf’s conservation will only work if social aspects are considered. Previous studies and experiences from applying sociology to conservation show the potential of social mediation and the involvement of local populations to overcome polarised positions, revalue the contributions of all, and create a fair and feasible coexistence.
