CareNet researchers in Betevé program “Trèvol de 4 fulles”

The tv show shows the daily reality of people with functional diversity to subvert the paternalistic gaze that has often been directed towards the so-called “disabled” people. The program addresses fundamental issues for the social inclusion of this group, such as accessibility and independent living, and also dares with burning discussions such as sexual assistance. 

The Carenet researchers have collaborated in different chapters: Andrea García-Santesmases has been interviewed in the “Alliances chapter” (10/12/2018) to explain the potentialities and challenges involved in the alliances between feminisms and functional diversity activism; Asun Pié in the “beauty chapter” (11/26/2018) in relation to the patriarchal and ableist normativity impose towards disabled bodies.
