Clàudia Torrens

Currently working on the development of the EduFire toolkit project, in which, from the CareNet research group, we seek to emphasize the importance of community participation in global challenges.

I am an environmental scientist, graduated in 2017 from UB, with a particular interest in narratives that problematize – or not – ecological and civilizational crises. I have been trained in ecological economics and political ecology in the master’s program at the Institute of Environmental Science and Technology (ICTA-UAB), and in social and solidarity economy through the Xarxa d’Economia Solidària de Catalunya (XES) in the postgraduate course they offer. Additionally, I completed the postgraduate program in Analysis of Capitalism focused on the work of Daniel Raventós and Antoni Domènech.

In the immediate future, I plan to pursue a doctorate which topic reflects the mentioned concerns.
